In 1923, the Chillicothe City Council made the decision to establish the Chillicothe Fire Department. Since then, we have grown into the Chillicothe Community Fire Protection District, and we serve the approximate 15,000 occupants of Chillicothe and the surrounding areas. Whether by land or by water, we respond to calls with urgency and courage.
We operate out of five separate stations and answer calls involving fire, EMS, auto accidents, river fire and rescue, and all types of rescue calls. Additionally, we conduct numerous prevention activities, including property maintenance, liquor license inspections, school fire drills, inspections for building permits and more.
“On behalf of our membership, I would like to welcome you to our website. Our department is volunteer which make us so special. Over 40 volunteers, hundreds of hours of training, State of the art equipment, and that hometown neighbor-helping-neighbor mindset is what we call our recipe for success.”
